WP 6 – Toolkit development and application

WP COORDINATOR:
      Sapienza

PPs INVOLVED:
IMBE; AUB; CNRS-L; BIOECOS-MA; LSGC

ACTIVITIES:

A6.1 Harmonization of biodiversity and impact/hazard data

A6.2 Production of risk maps
A6.3 Based on A 6.1 and 6.2, provide a prioritisation of the analysed shorelines
A6.4 Feasibility test of the toolkit
A6.5 Perform the methodological validation and rearrangement of the toolkit
A6.6 Best available techniques and strategies analyses for sustainable coastal infrastructures
A6.7 Coastal sustainable infrastructure planning and design
A6.8 Develop a specific cross-border protocol to produce the GREAT Med guidelines and best practices

EXPECTED RESULTS:

R6.1 Integrated analysis of biodiversity components with hazard and impact factors to map and highlight more vulnerable areas (i.e. risk = vulnerability x hazard, described respectively in WP4 and WP5);

R6.2 Protocols and equations for the evaluation of oil spill and HNS risk indices;

R6.3 Framework of decision rules to suggest best practices, tools and action plans for a sustainable management of coastal areas;
